Aspen Common Trail & Park Use Notice
Posted on May 11th, 2026

The Aspen HOA Board reminds all homeowners and residents of existing standards that apply to our community trails and parks. These reflect obligations already established in the Declaration and common-sense safety expectations for shared spaces. New signage will be posted at all trail and park entrances as a reminder.

Motorized Vehicles Are Not Permitted on Trails
Motorcycles, dirt bikes, mopeds, ATVs, and other motorized recreational vehicles are not permitted on community trails or in park areas. Their use creates unsafe conditions for pedestrians and constitutes a nuisance under Section 4.14 of the Declaration. Electric-assisted bicycles (Class 1 and Class 2 only) are permitted. Mobility and disability assistance devices are always welcome on community trails and in all common areas.

Pedestrian Safety
Pedestrians have the right of way on all community trails. All users — including cyclists — should travel at a speed that is safe for conditions and considerate of others. As a general guideline, speeds should remain well below 10 mph. Yield to pedestrians and be aware of others sharing the trail.

General Common Area Expectations
All owners and residents share equal rights and responsibilities in the common areas (Section 5.2). Please help keep these spaces safe and enjoyable for everyone:
  • Stay on designated trails
  • Clean up after pets. The Declaration limits dogs to three per household and requires that pets not be a source of nuisance (Section 4.4)
  • No discharge of firearms or weapons of any kind within Aspen (Section 4.12)
  • No noxious or offensive activity in any portion of the community (Section 4.14)
  • Owners or residents responsible for damage to common areas may be assessed the cost of repair by the Association
The Board appreciates the cooperation of all residents in maintaining a safe and welcoming community. Questions or concerns may be directed to HOA Advisory Group at sthompson@hoaadvisorygroup.com. You may also use the Contact Us page for other ways to contact them.
